The Department of Genetics and Developmental Science is the latest founded department of the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology. The research interests of our department cover a wide range of important areas, including molecular genetics, genomics, plant genetics and development, tumor immunology, immunotherapy, neurobiology and mechanobiology using various model systems. The Department engages in cutting-edge research to understand fundamental knowledge of genetics and developmental biology, and to apply our knowledge for medical and agricultural applications. Currently, the Department consists of 30 staff members, including 18 professors with considerable expertise and international reputation, including 2 NSFC Distinguished Young Scholars.
