基本情况：  

现为新加坡国家科学院院士，新加坡国立大学生物科学系系主任，国立大学教务长首席教授，新加坡淡马锡生命研究院董事会董事及淡马锡资深研究员。他毕业于上海交通大学生命科学技术学院，分别在1994年和1997年获得学士和硕士学位；2001年在新加坡国立大学获得博士学位后，于2002-2003年在美国加州理工学院从事博士后研究。现为新加坡国立大学生物科学系系主任，国立大学教务长首席教授，新加坡淡马锡生命研究院董事会董事及淡马锡资深研究员。

自2004年在新加坡国立大学生物系和新加坡淡马锡生命研究院建立独立实验室以来，俞皓教授一直致力于研究植物功能基因组和植物生长发育过程中的分子遗传机制，他在植物生殖发育和植物激素领域发现了一系列关键新基因和相关的分子调控机理，这些重要发现对经济作物的传统育种和基因编辑提供了重要的基因资源，并奠定了相关改良技术的理论基础，对粮食、生物能源和中草药的生产以及城市农业的发展都有重要的指导意义。相关研究结果发表在一系列国际著名学术期刊上，包括Nature, Nature Genetics, Nature Plants, Developmental Cell, Molecular Cell, PLoS Biology, Advanced Science, Science Advances,  Nature Communications，PNAS, Plant Cell等。

俞皓教授目前担任Annual Review of Cell and Developmental Biology的唯一亚洲编委, 并担任Elife、PNAS、PLoS Genetics等一系列重要学术期刊编委或特约编委、Faculty Opinions专家、中国科学院海外评审专家以及日本、马来西亚等多国和地区大学和研究单位的国际咨询委员和外籍评估专家。鉴于俞皓教授在植物功能基因组学和分子生物学方面的杰出贡献和国际影响，他曾陆续获得新加坡青年科学家奖、新加坡杰出青年奖、新加坡国立研究基金首席研究员以及新加坡科学界的最高荣誉-新加坡总统科学奖等。
