In the fall of 2022, the College of Life Science and Technology welcomed new students of 2022.Feng Yan, the Dean, teached "The First Lesson of Dean" to freshmen.

She encouraged students to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, hone their moral integrity, practice their skills, shoulder the heavy responsibilities of The Times, and integrate personal development into the cause of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

Feng Yan introduced the development trend of Life science and what Life science is. She demonstrated the importance of Life science from the 125 most challenging scientific problems of Science, the world's Top 10 scientific and technological advances in 2021, Healthy China , which aroused students' love and yearning for Life science.

Feng Yan introduced Deng Zixin, Shi Yongyong, Tang Hongzhi and other outstanding representatives of teachers, and encouraged students to learn from their examples and compose the school a new chapter.
